Three Animations

This animation focuses on the transition from the ground space towards the higher space. You have to past through two sets of stairs to reach the roof. The first stair is special in terms of how light it is, the right hand side of the staircase allows light from other spaces to directly shine through.Whereas the second set of stairs encapsulates the whole front view of the building, it is also used a decoration for the front facade. The roof of this building is also very spacial as it has circular transparent areas that allow for natural sunlight to bleed through, providing a organic lively tone to the space.

The transition from ground level to below ground is divided into two parts as the are 4 levels below ground. This animation focuses on the main gathering room. Unlike most underground spaces, sunlight permeates through this space due to the glass ceiling. Furthermore, the use of wood in the space creates a sense of liveliness of the room as it provides a comforting/welcoming tone, hence suiting the function of the room.

This animation includes the transition from the main gathering room, to the private storage rooms. Since it is a transition from a public space to a more private space, the staircase connecting the two appears more enclosed, even looking like a tunnel, to create a illusion that the person is entering a completely isolated space. To accentuate that the storage rooms are private space, the wood used are significantly darker unlike the bright colored wood from the level above.
